LEAP - ENGAGE

Engaging in a professional and business environment by serving in student societies, finance department as well as business school events and functions; opportunities to enhance interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and build networking by interacting with peers, practitioners and professionals.


Students need to earn at least 4 points but no more than 10 points in this category. In general, each hour of recognized activity will earn 0.5 point unless otherwise specified. 

Recognized Activities Supporting Documents
  • Committee members in formal student organisations such as FinSo, Business Student Union, AIESEC etc. Points for these contributions will be determined on a case by case basis. 
  • Endorsement letter issued by the HKUST student group
  • Volunteers such as student ambassadors in events and functions hosted by the finance department, the business school or other professional bodies such as HKSFA, PWMA, etc. 
  • Participating in peer mentoring activities
  • Confirmation email of the student ambassador / peer mentoring role
  • Completion Record (e.g. thank you email from the organizer, time-sheet record, etc.)
  • Attending invited networking events by companies
  • Announcement (e.g. email, poster, e-flyer, etc.)
  • Confirmation email
  • Completion Record (e.g. thank you email / endorsement email from the organizer)
