Objectives

The essential skills to succeed in the business careers include the ability to apply classroom theories to analyze and solve real-world problems, work well with others, learn continuously, manage your personal and professional development, and communicate your ideas effectively. This comprehensive course will ensure that you graduate with these abilities and skills.

 

This course includes 3 main components:

  • L – Learning in seminars and workshops that are conducted by business executives in order to gain insights in current and real-world finance topics; learning in skill-building seminars and hands-on events, such as resume workshops, mock interviews, and mentoring in order to develop the professional identity

 

  • E – Engaging in a professional and business environment by serving in student societies, finance department as well as business school events and functions; opportunities to enhance interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and build networking by interacting with peers, practitioners and professionals

 

  • A and P – Applying and Practicing finance knowledge in investment clubs, business case competitions, UROP and internships; opportunities to develop analytical skills, research skills, and presentation skills, gain actual hands-on experience of working in a competitive setting, and learn to perform with professional and ethical code of conduct
